CK is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant / Project Manager to join our growing Risk Assessment, Remediation & Waste team. This role is ideal for an accomplished consultant who enjoys leading complex environmental projects, mentoring staff, developing client relationships, and helping shape the future of a growing technical practice.
You'll work with industrial clients across Texas and the Gulf Coast on challenging remediation, risk assessment, compliance, and waste management projects while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do
- Lead environmental assessment, remediation, and waste management projects from proposal through successful completion.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, quality assurance/quality control, and client communications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to industrial clients on environmental compliance, remediation strategies, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and direct soil, groundwater, and environmental site investigations.
- Develop work plans, technical reports, permit applications, regulatory correspondence, and project specifications.
- Manage projects under the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) and other applicable state and federal environmental regulations.
- Oversee remediation systems, corrective action programs, and spill response projects.
- Support solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance projects.
- Coordinate directly with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and other regulatory agencies.
- Mentor junior consultants by providing technical guidance, project oversight, and professional development.
- Strengthen existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare technical and cost proposals and participate in business development efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to support the continued growth of the Risk Assessment, Remediation & Waste practice.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of environmental consulting experience, including progressive project management responsibilities.
- Strong experience with: Soil and groundwater investigations, Environmental site assessments, Corrective action and remediation, and Risk assessment
- Experience managing environmental consulting projects from proposal through completion.
- Working knowledge of: RCRA, TRRP, CERCLA, Louisiana and Texas environmental regulations, and solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance
- Experience serving industrial clients, including petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, energy, refining, transportation, or other industrial facilities.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional client service.
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Leadership experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain.
- Experience with groundwater statistical software such as Sanitas.
- Experience with LogPlot, ArcGIS (ESRI), AutoCAD, or similar technical software.
- Existing relationships with industrial clients or regulatory agencies in Texas.
- Active participation in professional organizations related to environmental consulting.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary environmental projects.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel approximately 25% for client meetings, project work, and field investigations, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a full-size pickup truck.
- Must meet all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements necessary to access client facilities.
