Our Houston office (The Woodlands) Risk Assessment, Remediation, and Waste Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Geologist or Engineer who is experienced in environmental consulting, developing client relationships, and developing project deliverables from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications;
- Coordinate and implement project permitting;
- Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations;
- Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation;
- Management of clients;
- Development of business opportunities;
- Mentor staff;
- Manage remediation and spill response projects; and
- Assist with solid and hazardous waste permitting
Qualifications:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in Geology or Engineering;
- Experience working as an environmental consultant with experience in soil and groundwater assessment, investigation, and remediation and with TCEQ’s Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP);
- Commitment to obtain professional registration (P.G. or P.E.) within 1-2 years;
- Project management experience;
- Proficient technical writing skills;
- Proficiency with MS Office programs;
- Proficient mathematical and computer skills;
- Experience with groundwater statistical analyses software e.g., Sanitas, a plus;
- Experience with soil boring software e.g., LogPlot, a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD, ESRI Arcview a plus;
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites out of area (approximately 25% travel, including some overnight stays) and work outside normal work schedule, as needed;
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain successful client relationships;
- Must be able to satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements, including obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card;
- This position requires use of a company vehicle. Candidate must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record, and able to safely operate a full-size pickup truck; and
- Eager to excel as an individual and in a team environment.
