We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Air Quality Consultant to join our office in The Woodlands, TX. This position will provide strategic leadership on air quality and environmental assessments for our diverse portfolio of clients.
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing air quality-related projects, including monitoring, compliance, and regulatory reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of air quality regulations, air pollution control technologies, and environmental health standards. The Senior Consultant will provide technical expertise to clients, helping them manage their air quality impact, ensure compliance, and develop sustainable practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise, report preparation, and project management of air quality permitting and compliance projects which meet client expectations;
- Proficient at project management by effectively preparing cost proposals, establishing budget and invoicing responsibilities, handling cost overruns, and purchase order upgrades;
- Assists in business development by obtaining additional opportunities with existing clients as well as promoting business opportunities to potential clients;
- Compile, coordinate, and write reports and correspondence using technical knowledge;
- Develop and maintain technical expertise on current and developing air quality regulatory and policy issues while providing technical support and project oversight to other consultants within the air quality group;
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior Air staff;
- Participate in A&WMA and TCEQ workgroups;
- Interface with regulatory agencies;
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working as an environmental consultant in the air quality field and must have a minimum of one year at a senior project management level;
- Expertise in air permitting and compliance, including NSR, NNSR, PSD, and NSPS;
- Knowledge of production systems, emissions estimation and engineering, air permitting for refineries and petroleum and natural gas production, Texas air permitting regulations, PBR, and emissions inventory systems;
- Evaluation of emission levels and emission control technology;
- Effective communication and technical writing skills;
- Possess the interpersonal skills considered necessary to develop and maintain strong client relationships;
- Must be able to satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements to access clients’ facilities;
- Infrequently, overnight travel may be required.
