Our Air Quality program is growing and we’re looking for experienced Air Quality professionals in The Woodlands, TX, area. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience providing air quality consulting services, including air permitting and compliance.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of interesting technical projects for clients in the chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, refining, and power industries throughout Louisiana, Texas, and neighboring states. This position offers the opportunity to be part of an expert consulting team solving challenging environmental projects.
Qualifications:
- MS or BS degree in a relevant science or engineering, or equivalent experience working in an environmental position directly related to air permitting and compliance;
- Strong verbal, writing, and spreadsheet skills;
- 7+ years of experience working in the air quality field including:
- Emission calculations, emissions inventory development, and emissions reporting;
- Evaluating State and Federal air quality regulatory compliance;
- Developing air permit applications – initial, renewals, amendments for a variety of client needs including, but not limited to, Title V, minor/major (PSD, NNSR), regulatory/standard, and small source (Permits by Rule; exemptions);
- Environmental compliance reporting, including documentation, permit certifications, and auditing;
- Hazardous and Miscellaneous Organic NESHAP (HON/MON) a plus; and
- Air dispersion modeling utilizing approved EPA models (AERMOD) a plus.
- Effectively manage projects on schedule and within budget;
- Strong client relationships and interpersonal skills;
- Communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams;
- Mentor junior staff as needed;
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments, meet strict deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed; and
- Satisfy all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements to access clients’ facilities.
- Professional license a plus.
